Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the deen.in mobile application ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using deen.in, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

deen.in is a free Islamic companion application that provides:

  • Quran reading with translations and audio recitations
  • Prayer time calculations and adhan notifications
  • Qibla compass direction
  • Islamic duas, adhkar, and ruqyah (Quran healing verses)
  • Digital tasbih (dhikr counter)
  • Hijri calendar and Islamic event dates
  • Zakat calculator and fasting tracker
  • Islamic learning guides and wellness features
  • Home screen widgets (Android)
  • Makkah and Madinah live streams

3. Free of Charge

deen.in is completely free to use. There are no subscriptions, in-app purchases, premium tiers, or hidden charges. The App is provided as a service to the Muslim community (Ummah) and will remain free.

4. No Account Required

deen.in does not require you to create an account, register, or provide any personal information. The App works immediately upon installation.

5. User Responsibilities

By using deen.in, you agree to:

  • Use the App for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes
  • Not reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Not use the App to distribute malware or harmful content
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's systems
  • Not redistribute, resell, or sublicense the App or its content

6. Islamic Content

deen.in provides Islamic content including Quranic text, translations, hadiths, and duas sourced from reputable Islamic references. While we strive for accuracy:

  • The App is a reference tool and not a substitute for consulting qualified Islamic scholars
  • Prayer time calculations are based on mathematical algorithms and may vary from local mosque times
  • Translations are provided by third-party scholars and may differ in interpretation
  • Ruqyah content is based on authentic Quranic verses and should be used alongside proper Islamic guidance
  • Zakat calculations are based on standard Islamic financial principles; consult a scholar for complex cases

7. Intellectual Property

The deen.in app, its design, branding, and original content are the intellectual property of the developer. The Quranic text is the word of Allah and is not subject to copyright. Translations and audio recitations are used under their respective licenses from open-source projects and are attributed accordingly.

8. Third-Party Content and Services

The App connects to third-party services for content delivery:

  • Quran text/translations: Open-source Quran API (fawazahmed0/quran-api)
  • Audio recitations: everyayah.com and quranicaudio.com
  • Live streams: Official Haramain live feeds

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of these third-party services.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that prayer times will be 100% accurate for all locations.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of deen.in shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

11. Health Disclaimer

The wellness features in deen.in (meditation, gratitude journal, stress relief duas) are for spiritual well-being and relaxation only. They are not a substitute for professional medical or psychological advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

12. Termination

You may stop using deen.in at any time by uninstalling the App. Since we collect no data, uninstalling removes all traces of the App from your device.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated date will be reflected at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
